After years sewing sails to an unforgiving standard, I bring the same obsession with strength and wear to children's knitwear: reinforced where it matters, finished as carefully with a mind towards durability and aesthetics.

Every sweater starts with wool spun on the oldest operating mule spinner in America — a lofty but durable two-ply yarn that insulates like down but is more weatherproof. It comes undyed and lanolin-rich, or dyed in joyful color. The silhouette is a roll-neck heirloom design, simple and clean,without tight necklines for comfort.

Each piece is knit on vintage machines, then  seamed and hand-knit at the hem, neckline, and cuffs. 

This isn't precious clothing kept for special occasions. It's built to be worn hard, outgrown, handed down, and loved into the next child's closet — utilitarian outerwear for a damp, beautiful place, made to hold up to real childhood.
